The Trinity Knot is generally acknowledged as having two independent interpretations varying with regards to the point of time in history it was made. The pre-Christian interpretation of this image was linked to the three aspects of humanity: mind, body and spirit. Following the introduction of Christian faith to the Celtic land the symbol became associated with the holy trinity of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
