"Handfasting" was a term used by the ancient Celts to describe their traditional marriage ceremony in which they were literally bound together. It is where the term "tying the knot" comes from.
The kits are used in the wedding ceremony. The celebrant or priest ties the bride and grooms hands together, to symbolise their bond. The tied ribbon is then kept as a keepsake.
Included in the kit is the following -
1 x 2m long x 40mm wide satin ribbon in red or white
1 x organza pouch in complimentary colour
1 x set of instructions for celebrant
1 x list of ribbon colour and it's meanings
All presented in a lovely gift box!
Different Ribbon colours have different meanings.
